Spring has arrived, heralding the start of the 2021 season. He signs are that this will be a good year for the profession in France.
There are many projects underway: the ‘Grand Paris’ development for the 2024 Olympic Games, the renovation of ageing equipment all over France, a desire to improve the irrigation systems and better management of the installations. There is a willingness to sustain the green spaces and enhance the quality of the sports fields.
Irrigation has become essential for the planet; we are putting water back into the cycle of nature where it will benefit the CO2-absorbing plants, which in turn lowers the temperature and purifies the air in the cities.
Today, on the threshold of a gradual return to normal, we must still adhere to the guidelines for social distancing, respect for others, remaining positive and keeping our spirits up.
We need to be patient for a little while longer and dream of a time when this nightmare will become just a distant memory.
